Mark Smith, president of Harwick Homes, today announced the luxury homebuilder’s unfurnished 6,496 square foot Augusta grand estate model in Bonita Bay has sold prior to completion.
Designed by Visioinary Residential Design, LLC, and listed at $2.715 million without furnishings, the Augusta is situated on a waterfront lot in the prestigious Woodlake neighborhood, taking advantage of the coveted eastern exposure and lakefront views from every room thanks to the extraordinary transitional architectural details flowing room-to-room and floor-to-ceiling.
According to Mark Smith, president of Harwick Homes, the Southwest Florida luxury homebuilder recently began construction of a new custom estate home on Marco Island.
Designed by award-winning architect Jonathan Kukk of Kukk Architecture & Design, the 6,300 square foot private residence offers commanding waterfront views overlooking Caxambas Pass situated at the southern tip of southeast Marco Island, Florida and represents Harwick’s first residential build on the resort island.
Southwest Florida’s luxury lifestyle magazine Gulfshore Life featured Harwick Homes in a 6-page article in the April 2017 issue detailing the yearlong construction of a new custom estate home from start-to-finish. According to GSL reporter (and homeowner) Karen Tolchin, “Harwick came in on-time and on-budget. In the realm of construction, that makes them a mythical creature.”
Custom homebuilder Harwick Homes today announced their Augusta grand estate model is nearing 75% completion and is available for purchase, unfurnished, in Bonita Bay, listed at $2.715 million.
According to president Mark Smith, Augusta is situated on a waterfront lot in the prestigious Woodlake neighborhood and takes advantage of the coveted eastern exposure and lakefront views from every room.
Harwick Homes Vice President Shane Klepko offered his insights on the widespread adoption of the open floor plan style for the John R. Wood Estate Lifestyles feature story, No Place Like Home. He explained why homeowners across the country are adopting open floor plans.
“Our clients want to remove the walls separating the kitchen, pantry and formal dining room. This allows the rooms in the home to function organically and communicate a single experience.”
By capturing a seamless blend of contemporary living and a Mediterranean breeze, Harwick’s new Grey Oaks estate earned a feature in the 2017 Home & Design Magazine. Warm contemporary colors, streamlined accents, numerous fans and pocket glass doors bring a fresh flow of air and life through the home and into the outdoor living areas.
This beautiful estate is the perfect space for entertaining with its VIP Guest suites—overlooking the lake—and open common areas. “We are very pleased with the finishes of this estate,” said Mark Smith, President of Harwick Homes. “This estate is about style and elegance, inside and out and it is the perfect home for our client.”

I had a college professor who used to talk on and on about intertextuality and how that concept could be applied to life. According to him, and probably Jean-Paul Sartre, every waking second impacts and influences our future in one form or another.
That is the question heard most often from homeowners in the luxury communities.
“Luxury remodels and renovations are at an all-time high in Southwest Florida,” reports Harwick Homes vice president Shane Klepko. “Luxury estates built during the real estate boom years in the late ‘90s and early 2000s are now 15 to 20 years old and need renovation as today’s homebuyers expect a home’s interior to match its price point,” he explains.
As more estate homes continue to age and land becomes less and less available in high-demand neighborhoods and communities, the renovation market will continue to be very active, he adds.
